Antor - Association of the National Tourist Offices Representatives in Sweden.
ANTOR is a voluntary Association of the National Tourist Offices Representatives in Sweden. Some of our members cover most of the other Nordic countries and the Baltic region, some work only within one country. Antor has been established for the exchange of views on matters of mutual concerns and interests within the travel industry and to develop international tourism by legal means available within the framework of Swedish law and custom.
Membership of ANTOR is limited to the managers of the National Tourist Offices based in Sweden. They should be recognized as such by the Embassies of their respective countries. Also members of the diplomatic missions who work exclusively as Representatives of National Tourist Organisations are approved as ordinary members. The managers of all those National Tourist Offices located in one of the Nordic countries as well as Regional and Local Tourist Organisations, conducting their promotional activities in Sweden may become associated members of our organisation.
The members of Antor meet on a regular monthly basis (from February to June and September to December) in order to discuss and exchange ideas. The meetings are sometimes ended with a presentation done by a guest speaker of special interest for the travel trade.
We have close contacts with the travel industry, including the tour-operators, travel agencies or trade associations as well as media representatives, like press and freelance journalists.
Yearly there are at least three different activities organised by our association yearly – in 2013 we are involved into B2B workshop opening TUR Fair in Göteborg, press breakfast and trade & media mingle in Stockholm as well as Antor-on-tour (workshops in Malmö and Göteborg).
Our membership is also financially beneficial – we enjoy several good offers when taking part in chosen events. Also participation in activities organised by ANTOR is usually included in the membership fee – only Antor-on-tour requires some financial input from the participants.
